Custom Framing

At Soicher Marin, we lose sleep if one of our frames is not perfect. We understand that the final effect of a work of art can depend on how it is framed. Our matting and framing must be true to the sensibility of the work and to our own unique look. Clean is beautiful.

Soicher Marin’s custom frame shop contains a vast inventory of mouldings and refined materials for matting; and we design original frames – including three-dimensional and recessed shadow box constructions – in the context of the architectural and design environment intended for each work of art. In our custom hand-finishing facilities, our expert craftsmen and women have developed a variety of gilding techniques and signature wood and metallic finishes often imitated but never duplicated. The same holds true for our mats; we use museum quality archival materials, including linens, silks, suede and other textured fabrics that we wrap by hand.
