History

Since Soicher Marin first made its name in the design and architecture world more than four decades ago, we carved out our niche by offering a unique approach to framing with a consistent level of excellence in our work. The true power of Soicher Marin lies in the unparalleled depth and variety of our library, which we’ve built to over 10,000 images, including early botanicals, rare architecturals, textile designs from all points on the globe, landscapes and city scenes, Asian art, as well as a wide-ranging collection of period and contemporary paintings and drawings – all available in our superb print format.

We have provided art on significant projects around the world from Beverly Hills to Hong Kong, Las Vegas to St. Barths, New York to London, the Middle East, Korea and beyond. Our prints, mirrors and paintings can be seen in some of the finest hotels in the world, as well as in corporate environments and architecturally-celebrated residences.

During the late 1990’s to 2001, our primary focus shifted from store-based customers to working almost exclusively with commercial, residential and hospitality designers and architects. To support this new approach and our rapidly growing business, we moved to larger facilities in Hawthorne, a suburb of Los Angeles. Within our building, we created a studio workspace for framing, print design and project layout.

Our studio is quickly becoming a destination for creatives from coast to coast. When designers enter this great working space, they are cocooned in an environment that fosters imagination, a refuge where they can concentrate on their process undisturbed, with access to our framing workshop, state-of-the-art printmaking and – of course – to our inspiring collection.
